I, the mythically awe inspiring Honey Badger speak! I speak, because others are too afraid to speak. I speak, because I do what I want.
I speak, because in a harsh world of Jackals, Lions and Hyenas, the little must learn to stand up for themselves. And since my mere existence is synonymous with self- defense, I am running for president.
By the way, I’ll make a terrible president! For one, as you’re all quite familiar now, “I don’t give a s%!*.” Legislation, legal mumbo jumbo, bipartisan rhetoric, party propaganda, media manipulation, and winning elections at all costs; This is smoke in mirrors, meant to enflame, divide and avert our eyes from what’s real… and right under our nose. Can you dig it?
I speak because 90% of the worlds fish, old growth forests and soils are gone. I speak because small businesses, small farms, small animals and small countries are all going the way of the buffalo.
I speak because preventable wars rage on foreign soils. Preventable debt cripples most of the world, and preventable diseases cause widespread suffering.
I speak because other voices say, “this is just how it is. There’s nothing we can do about it.” Well guess what? I don’t give a s%! about what they say either!
I say, us little folks have power. I say, there are plenty of solutions we can stop ignoring. I say we need to look at the “real” long term costs and benefits of our actions, policies and worldviews. I say our economy should be focused on the happiness of people. Period.
We are smart enough to not only save ourselves and our world, but to establish thriving societies, running in emulation of the natural cyclical order. You know, the one that’s been working for millions of years.
So I speak, not from a podium, but from your very chest! Listen and proudly embrace your inner honey badger. Say it to yourself…”I am a honey badger”… Now say it again, but this time like a bad a**. “ I AM A HONEY BADGER!” From now on, let Honey Badger for president be a reminder for us to take back OUR elected offices, OUR country, OUR lives and OUR world.
